Danger man

Mike Hayes – The former Lakesider is Huw Griffiths’ target man upfront for the Cofis and will be a threat to any defence in the Cymru Premier. Colin Caton will be well aware of the striker’s capabilities having had Hayes play a key role in his Bala side during a six-year spell at Maes Tegid. Hayes contributed a goal in our last derby day with Caernarfon where the striker scored to put his side in front. He has now totalled a solid nine goals this season and will be looking to fire his side well into the mix of the hunt for the European place with a win at Maes Tegid.

Previous meeting

Our most recent derby day in Phase One of the Cymru Premier was eventful to say the very least. The Lakesiders headed to The Oval in hope of securing back-to-back victories over the Cofis and looked on course to doing so being 2-0 up in the game. Dean Ebbe it was who gave us the comfortable lead with a first-half brace. Before a second-half Lakesiders collapse saw us surrender our lead with Caernarfon completing a miraculous comeback which included a stunning strike by Sion Bradley which went on to claim goal of the month. However, the drama didn’t stop there. Will Evans firing us back level with time ticking down to prevent bragging rights for Caernarfon and secure us an important point at the home of our rivals.
