Match Preview: Bala Town vs Llandudno

Our JD Welsh Cup campaign gets underway this evening, as we welcome Llandudno FC to Maes Tegid, with the aim of going one better than last season's JD Welsh Cup campaign, after our disappointing defeat in the Final against The New Saints.

The Town were victorious in our last outing, as a 2-1 score-line was enough to beat JD Cymru Premier newcomers; Colwyn Bay. Prior to last weekend's win, it was a 7 game winless run for the Lakesiders, as we now look to get back on track!

On the other hand, Llandudno have had a tough start to their 2023/24 campaign, with just the single win on the board in the JD Cymru North and sitting just above the relegation zone on goal difference. Their last outing was against Gresford Athletic in the JD Cymru North, and despite going a goal ahead, Gresford would equalise shortly after and end up victorious in a 3-1 win.

Danger Man

Harvey Bennett: Despite Llandudno's tough start to their 2023/24 campaign, 17 year old Harvey Bennett has been a bright spark for the Seasiders, having netted three goals in eight league appearances, alongside the only goal in Llandudno's 1-0 win over Chirk AAA in the first round of the Welsh Blood Service League Cup. In total, Bennett has a goal contribution in every other game he has appeared in, and will surely look to keep this form up this evening.
