It's the Last 16 of the JD Welsh Cup, as the Town head South to take on Caerau Ely who compete in the JD Cymru South, for a spot in the Quarter Finals.
The Lakesiders come into the JD Welsh Cup tie having gone unbeaten in our last five outings, as we look to cement our place in the Top Six of the JD Cymru Premier come the middle of January. Victories against Aberystwyth Town and Penybont have seen the Town open up a six point gap in the table inside the top six.
Meanwhile, the JD Cymru South side have endured a topsy turvy season, sitting in 11th place in the league and winning only one of their last four league fixtures. However, a decent run in the JD Welsh Cup has been a highlight for the Club, beating Afan Lido, Cardiff Corinthians, and most recently, Gresford Athletic, as they marched on into the Last 16.

James Williams: The 29 year old has Jack Ashford for company at the top of the goals and assists charts for Caerau Ely, with seven goals and three assists in all competitions. The Forward signed for Caerau this past summer, coming from Pontyclun, where he would contribute more assists than goals, notching two assists for every goal scored in the Ardal South West League. Alongside Jack Ashford, the pair are the top goalscorers for Caerau in the league, with five goals each.
