Match Preview: Cardiff Met vs Bala Town

The Town head back out on the road for the second of five fixtures away from home in November, as we head to the Capital to take on Cardiff Met in a crucial meeting in the race for a top six place.

Our last outing would end in a 0-0 bore draw against Newtown, with our last victory in the league coming against The New Saints at the end of September, having drawn five out of our last six league fixtures.

The Met on the other hand have only collected four points from a possible 18 points in their last six league fixtures, after beating Newtown 2-1 at home and salvaging a point against Penybont in a 1-1 draw.

Danger Man

Eliot Evans: The 32 year old has been the star man for the Met so far this season, providing four goals in 13 JD Cymru Premier appearances, whilst also netting two goals in domestic cup competitions. The Welshman has already netted against the Town this season in the reverse fixture at Maes Tegid in early September. Evans has three goals in his last four appearances in all competitions, having scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Penybont in the JD Welsh Cup, whilst also netting in a defeat to Cardiff City in the Nathaniel MG Cup and a 2-1 victory over Newtown in the JD Cymru Premier.

Previous Meetings

There has been a lack of goals in the last five meetings between the two sides, with just five goals scored between the two. So far this season, it's the Met who hold the bragging rights with a 1-0 victory at Maes Tegid courtesy of an Eliot Evans goal in the first half. In last season's meetings, both sides recorded a victory each and two draws, with the Town's victory coming in the Championship Conference at Cyncoed Campus, as George Newell's 51st minute goal was enough to secure the points.
