The first phase of the JD Cymru Premier finally comes to a close this evening, and the stakes could not be higher! Following the abandonment of Tuesday night's fixture with Connah's Quay Nomads, the Town now fortunately know a draw will do for a top six spot following the conclusion of the rest of Matchday 22 fixtures in the JD Cymru Premier league.
The Town have faced a troublesome time in Phase One, having recorded just the six wins in 21 matches, yet are the third best team in the league for goals conceded, however our third worst for goals scored with just 26 goals.
The Nomads have also struggled this season, with just the seven wins and have faced nine defeats in their 21 matches. However, with a win this evening the Nomads could end up in the precious sixth spot and end Phase One in the top six; a position they have been outside for majority of the season.
