Bala Town are pleased to announce that Oliver Southern has extended his stay at Maes Tegid until June 2023.
The 20-year-old was brought in at the beginning of last season and has excelled at right-back under the management of Colin Caton. Having impressed in a trial with the club, the defender officially became a Lakesider on August 7th 2021 and would go on to make his debut that day against Flint Town in the Nathaniel MG Cup.
An academy product of Crewe, Southern had a spell in non-league representing Curzon Ashton before making the move to North Wales. Since then, he has gone on to make 29 appearances for the Lakesiders gaining some crucial experience in his development.
Southern has shown great potential and we look forward to seeing what else is to come from the youngster in the 2022/23 season.
